Short biography

Jacqueline obtained her master's degree in Human Movement Sciences at the VU University in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Her studies included an internship at the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Calgary (Canada). She received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Leuven (Belgium) for her thesis entitled “Gait in hemiplegic cerebral palsy: effects of ankle foot orthoses” (2008). She extended this line of research till present.

She works as a Human Movement Scientist at the Laboratory for Movement Analysis of the University of Basel Children’s Hospital (UKBB) combining clinical gait analysis service and research on gait pathologies in patients. She teaches master and bachelor students and supervises internships and master theses. Research projects resulted in scientific papers and contributions to international meetings.
