The SIMCKA takes place in two modules, SIMCKAbasics and SIMCKConsultant.

  • SIMCKAbasics is a two-hour introduction to the technical basics of paediatric anaesthesia. It is aimed at anaesthetists without experience in paediatric anaesthesia (dates by arrangement).
    Credits: SGAR 2, SGNOR 2, SGKC 2
  • SIMCKAconsultant deepens the skills in paediatric anaesthesia. The course concept was developed strictly according to the current requirements of the Swiss Catalogue of Learning Objectives in Anesthesia and Resuscitation (SCOAR) developed. The scenarios deal with an evidence-based update in paediatric anaesthesia and increase the routine of anaesthetists who are only involved in paediatric anaesthesia from time to time.

The courses are organised as a cooperation project with the MEPA (Managing Emergencies in Paediatric Anaesthesia) instead (www.mepa.org.uk).
