Environmental pollution and climate change and their effects on plants

Short biography

Dr. Delgado-Eckert began his career at the Technischen Universität München, Germany, where he completed a Masters degree in mathematics with a minor in physics. After working as a mathematical modelling consultant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, he moved to the USA. At Virginia Tech and at Tufts University’s Medical School in Boston he conducted the research work towards his PhD degree. He obtained his PhD degree in 2008 and then moved to Switzerland to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zürich). In 2012 he started a position as research group leader at the University Children’s Hospital at University of Basel.
