Doctoral theses at the UKBB

The HEROES study (Rheumatology Transition for Young People in Switzerland) is a national study with the aim of developing, implementing and evaluating a transition programme for adolescents and young adults moving from paediatric to adult healthcare in Switzerland. The study is led by the University Children's Hospital Basel in collaboration with the University Hospital Basel. We are recruiting a PhD student for the HEROES study.

Prerequisites

• A Master's degree in nursing science, public health, social sciences, psychology or a related field
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: transitional care, adolescent health, rheumatology or implementation science
• Fluency in German and English mandatory, knowledge of French and/or Italian desirable
• Good knowledge of qualitative research methodology
• Excellent communication skills, organisational talent and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MAXQDA or similar and Adobe
• Willingness to travel to the participating clinics within Switzerland
• Strong teamwork skills, initiative and openness to collaboration across scientific disciplines
