I am a clinical researcher (postdoc and senior physician) at the University Children's Hospitals in Zurich and Basel. I supervise two PhD students and co-supervise two other PhD students in the Pneumology research group and am part of the Basel-Bern cohort on lung development in infants. My research focusses on risk factors associated with lung development in infancy. To investigate the small contribution of different risk factors to the development of lung function, I have studied different lung function tests and developed new clinically useful scores for the assessment of respiratory diseases in children. My aim is to better understand pathophysiological changes after cancer therapy using sensitive outcome measures.
