Specialised consultation hours for children and adolescents are available at UKBB. Our experts offer comprehensive diagnostics and treatment for a wide range of concerns. Registrations are made exclusively via medical referral.

Themes

The interdisciplinary pain consultation for children and adolescents with chronic pain treats children with long-term pain. Research in recent years has shown that pain influences the psyche and, conversely, the psyche influences the perception of pain. Initial consultations therefore always take place together with a pain therapist and a child and adolescent psychiatrist or psychologist.

The aim is to comprehensively and holistically assess the child's pain situation, which is why the initial contact lasts between 1 ½ and 2 hours. Subsequent further treatment takes place according to individual needs.
