Paediatric orthopaedics sub-assistant positions

As a sub-assistant, you will be actively involved in our lively, varied ward, consultation and surgery activities. You can actively participate in the outpatient clinic, including plaster and speciality consultations, and care for inpatients on admission and during their inpatient stay under the guidance or supervision of the attending physicians. You will take part in all teaching events at the clinic. You will assist in the operating theatre and can perform minor procedures such as metal removal or skin suturing under supervision.

• Get to know everyday life in a surgical department with the special features of a paediatric clinic
• Carry out an orthopaedic anamnesis, a complete orthopaedic status including the spine
• Making a diagnosis and suggesting a therapy
• Caring for inpatients under supervision
• Monitoring the course of the disease and postoperative progression
• Hold discussions with parents
• Working together with nursing services and physiotherapy
